Are you interested in scientific research? Would you like too learn how design and create something new? The Centre for Telecommunications and Multimedia (CTM) at INESC TEC is giving you that chance.

What are CTM’s Summer Internships?

The Summer Internships at CTM are an anual event, now on it’s 7^th edition, which allow you to be apart of research and development work, supervised by experts from one of CTM’s four scientific areas:

• Wireless Networks [WiN],
• Optical and Electronic Technologies [OET],
• Multimedia Communication Technologies [MCT],
• Visual Computing & Machine Intelligence [VCMI].

The internships last for one month, they are unpaid, they take place during July, and can be in-person, remote, or in hybrid format. At the end of the internship, you’ll have the opportunity to present the results of your work to the Centre and other interns, were you have the opportunity to win one of the awards for best internship! Every participant will receive a Certificate of Conclusion they can add to their CV!

How to participate?

To apply for an internship, you can browse through the available internship topics available for this year’s edition, and submit your application via this form!. You’ll receive the results of your application via e-mail. You can apply to more than one internship topic, and we’ll work to find the best supervisor and topic for you!

Before the internships start, we will also host a Q&A session where you can ask any questions you might have about the process or the internships. You can sign up for this Q&A session here! The session will be held at INESC TEC, in Auditorium B.
